Buzz Brass offers distinctive shows aimed at a younger audience called “musitheatrical shows”. The musical adventure proposed by the ensemble stimulates curiosity, creativity and the development of a critical sense in primary and secondary level students. At the same time, Buzz Brass encourages its young public to develop an interest in learning music.

Buzz Brass has prepared teacher's manuals for each show, designed to help introduce the themes of the presentation to students before the performance, and discuss ideas learned and experienced in class, afterwards.

These educational adventures are presented entirely at your convenience. Buzz Brass makes all necessary arrangements and provides all the equipment required for each musical event.

A theatrical odyssey following music steps from the origins to the present.

The History of Music takes you on a witty and spirited journey through space and time to the origins of contemporary music. This show features the main events that have influenced music of the Western civilization, from prehistory to the present. Let the powerful brass sounds lift you in a fun and highly original crescendo!

“After their performance, we received raving comments both from the audience and our own technical team. The flexible technical requirements, the easily set-up props and the unquestionable quality of the musical and stage performance combine to provide a show suitable for all audiences and all venues. We warmly recommend Buzz Brass as they are an essential asset in the promotion of chamber music for brass ensemble.”

“I just wanted to say how brilliant your performance was this morning! As the school's music teacher, I found it incredibly inspiring. You were all so fantastic and the children haven't been able to stop talking about it! Thank you for such a pleasant morning and performance, what a great start to a Monday!

“I am writing this letter to express my appreciation to your ensemble for presenting an amazing concert last week at our school in Armstrong, B.C. The show was entertaining, educational and of very high artistic quality. It is no small feat to keep a large group of middle schoolers attentive, especially when they are packed into a crowded gymnasium, sitting on an uncomfortable floor. Buzz Brass managed this with great skill. I have taught music for all ages, in all kinds of schools and in several countries over a 33 year career. I have never seen a performance to equal yours! I wish you continued success in your musical endeavours and hope that many more school audiences have the opportunity to hear you perform.”

“It was the BEST show to have come into our school in all my years here. A sentiment also shared by many of my colleagues. They way in which the group told the story of how music has evolved over time, was both clever and entertaining. Using comedy to capture the attention of your audience was a perfect way to keep the students on message and entertained. I also liked how during the Question period, you talked and featured the brass instruments. The group needs to be complimented not only for their artistic and musical talents, but also for the manner in which they easily connected with students. It's a few hours now after your performance, and the students are still "BUZZING" about Buzz Brass.”

“Wow! Your show was amazing. I spoke to several staff members afterwards and we all agreed that is was one of the best school performances we had seen in years. It was engaging and educational and the music was wonderful. All of my Grade 7 students thoroughly enjoyed the show and thought the comedy was hilarious. I would highly recommend this show for any and all elementary schools. Thank you so much for your efforts it was greatly appreciated. All of you are very talented and it is obvious that you are all committed to your performances.”
